Description

New Version Alert!
New! We’ve updated our design to include 6x2mm magnet holes for even more versatility.

The Dicebox XL – Your Ultimate Gaming Companion
Whether you’re a Warhammer 40k, Age of Sigmar, or board game enthusiast, the Dicebox XL is designed with you in mind. As a competitive Warhammer 40K player, I crafted this box to feature convenient compartments—each holding 10 16mm dice—so you can quickly count and roll without missing a beat.

If you want to print this on a A1 Mini please take a look at the:
Dicebox Mini with removable tray

Enhanced Storage Options
The XL version boasts two extra compartments perfect for storing tokens, counters, or any other gaming accessories. Plus, by simply removing the tray, you create a handy rolling box that keeps all your dice together during gameplay.

Double (or Triple) Stackable Design
Running out of space? No problem! The box includes magnet holes on the bottom, allowing you to securely stack multiple boxes—double or even triple your storage capacity with ease.

Magnetized Lid for Ultimate Convenience
Worried about where to put the lid during the game? Just attach it to the bottom of your box, and it will magnetize in place—preventing it from falling, getting lost, or interfering with your play.

Components

Box
The main container features eight slots for 8x2mm magnets, connecting seamlessly with the lid on both the top and bottom. For added protection, you can insert a 2mm neoprene liner to cushion dice rolls. We also offer a second profile with raw STL files for the 6x2mm version.

Lid
The simple yet effective lid comes without a logo in its basic version and includes four magnet slots. It’s designed to be printed with the top part directly on the build plate, giving you the freedom to experiment with smooth, textured, or 3D effects. Logos or text can be added using Bambu Studio. (Note: The version featured in the screenshots is not yet available via MakerWorld.)

Tray
Choose between two tray versions:

  • Version 1: Six compartments for 10 16mm dice each, plus two large compartments for accessories.

  • Version 2: Eight compartments accommodating 80 16mm dice in total, with one additional long compartment.

Liner
I offer laser-cut neoprene mats for the perfect dice liner. A PDF file is included so you can order or make your own liner if desired.

Assembly Instructions

To assemble your Dice Box, you’ll need a minimum of eight 8x2mm magnets—four for the box and four for the lid. Ensure you magnetize the lid using the opposite poles to the box magnets for proper attachment. The parts fit with a margin of about 0.2mm, so a small drop of superglue will secure them together nicely.

You can optionally add 4 extra magnets to the bottom of the box, this allows you to stack and add the lid to the bottom of a box.

Dimensions:

  • Box: 21cm x 21cm x 2.4cm
  • Lid: 0.3cm thick
  • Combined Height: 2.8cm

Easily one of the best models I've printed from here. Printing profile was great and the extra info was helpful. Most of my dice are 12mm though so I think I will be creating a seat to slot in and shrink the holes unless you were able to create a tray to accommodate 12mm dice as well.

That is something I have gotten before as a request. I should be able to resize the middle section so 12mm dice actually fit. a full on 12mm dice might be doable, I would have to check.

Awesome, will print one asap! Would it be possible to add a box that is 35 or 40mm high? GW's tape measure is about 32mm thick and mission deck box is about 40mm thick. Would be great if they could fit in the same box! :)

so, the quick answers is: yes, kinda. the fit is now pretty exact, a 16mm dice has almost no room to move in the current layout. The bottom layer of the tray is only 2mm thick, saving as much filament as possible. when i increase the height to 35/40mm the question becomes what we should do with the 16mm dice. increase the height of those slots with the same amount? so they hit the lid when closed? let me think about the most optimal way of doing this without having dice roll around the box

hm, I think we're misunderstanding each other. I think if you have a box for holding the dice and that the man then uses as a dice box. Then you have another box underneath that is a little deeper where the accessories can fit. The deeper box therefore doesn't need to be adapted for the dice 👍

I'm actually the man in the video. But if understand you correctly you want a extra, second type of box that is higher that can fit below the original one? So basically like the video/gif shows but then bigger for the bottom box?

I order mine from a local laser cutting shop where I can upload the PDF I added as an attachment here. You can also cut a mat manually
