Description

This model is a weekly pill box designed for 1 use per day. My wife couldn't find what she wanted online, so I made this and I hope it'll be helpful to someone else too :) I printed it in PLA and the result looked excellent, so I assume you won't have any issues printing this model.

It features:

  • 7 independent chambers, 3cm x 1.5cm x 1cm, enough for a few pills
  • Day names on top and inside each door
  • Tight tolerances for a sturdy feeling
  • Textured side for better grip
  • Rounded chambers to easily grab pills
  • Low 1.5cm profile

Any feedback is welcome! I was tempted to make a “2 times a day” version of this, so if you'd like one with the same design, i'd be happy do make one for you :)

Tollerances are a bit too tight. Printed fine but back tabs for lids kept snapping just trying to attach the lids. Printed in PLA matte for the main box.

Thanks for your feedback! I think this might be due to matte pla having lower layer adhesion compared to standard pla. I don't have matte pla at home, but I'll try to upload another print profile with more tolerances today if you wanna try 😊

I uploaded a new print profile that pushes the inner faces of the back tabs 0.2mm apart from each other ✅

I might try both. For science.

I really like the shape of this print, but unfortunately 3 of the hinges broke when trying to attach the lids.

Hey! Which kind of plastic did you use for this print ? Other people have reported that due to the tight tolerances, PLA matte and PETG might not work. I've added a profile with higher tolerances for pla matte, but that might not be enough for petg though

Nice design but I printed with PETG and I think the stiffness is a bit much for the hinges. They open and close but when clicked closed the back edge of the lid pops out of the clips.

Thank you for your feedback! I'll print it with jayo petg to reproduce the issue and hopefully solve it 🙏

Just a general question about all of these pill boxes. Shouldn’t they be printed with food-safe filaments?
