Do you use your MacBook standing at your desk or workstation and prefer the keyboard to not be flat? My wife does and a separate keyboard is not a viable option for her since she often uses her MacBook at a small workstation and the front of her classroom. After listening to her situation I figured I could find a stand already available to help solve her problem. After printing many different stand designs they all had something she didn't care for. What has resulted from many failed attempts at making the perfect laptop stand from here is this. She wanted something that would not allow her laptop to slide while in use so there are recesses for the small foot pads on the bottom of the MacBook. She wanted something that she could easily take apart and store in her desk or bag so this is dovetailed but not tight enough to make disassembly difficult. After I thought I had everything perfect she informed me it moved on her desk too much when seated so a TPU foot option has been added for those that want it. Hopefully this MacBook stand will solve a problem for you or someone you know as it has for my wife.
Note: If you go for the TPU foot option, note that the TPU pads have a chamfer one one side that mates to another chamfer in the recess for the pad. The fit is snug but does require a touch of glue.
