Description

Bambulab Allen key handles

/ Print-in-place

Based on a lot of feedback,  I felt the need to resolve the issue of Bambulab not providing the good old premium allen keys.
This model is my take on the premium allen key handles, I hope you will like it:)

This design is based on my earlier print-in-place box. This box is made to replace the cardboard box that the printer accessories originally comes in. It has a very similar layout to the original one, but at some points has some minor modifications to it. (like the inner enclosures to store spare bolts, or the hotend plate). In the 3MF file I used marble PLA, and matte PLA, but the design has been tested with Bambulab PETG, and PETG-CF as well.

Same mentality, but due to its size printable on the smallest member of the Bambulab lineup.

THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND

There is a PAUSE AT HEIGHT order in the 3MF file. If the printer reaches the desired height it will say it was paused by user. This is the time to insert the allen keys provided by bambulab.

Make sure that the allen keys sit firmly at their seating, in case there is any misperfection in your print just stop the printer and restart the process.

After inserting the allen key, just hit resume, and let your printer finish its job.

Very nice... guess I should have read the instructions first because when I went in to check on it, the printer had a message "user paused the print" ... ummm NO I didn't! Then I hit resume and laughed at my ignorance when I realized that was an intentional program pause :)

Unfortunately, this happened to me too The display was off and I had already removed the build plate I only realised the part was unfinished and put the plate back on Of course, not perfectly straight and then reinserted the Allen key

Love it! My only complaint is that I couldn't print this before I painfully assembled my A1.

ughh, I had to whip out my screw driver to build my A1 as the allen keys dug into my hands.

The keys printed great, but unfortunately they don’t fit into the case I printed from the same designer.

I feel like this an exact match for "mildly infuriating". The designer really shouldn't link these handles on the toolbox page if they don't fit in the case :(

Insert the longer side of the small allen first then push on the grip side. There will be a small bend but who cares. The bigger allen fits just fine

Excellent! However, when using the A1 build plate in Bambu Studio, the small parts did not adhere completely to the build plate and required manual adjustment. Nevertheless, the overall design is superb

Yes, it looks like the small part is floating. Something is not right with the profile.

Super great I love it, anyone know why Bambu stopped with the premium allen keys?
