New to 3D printing. Is PLA sufficient for something like this or should I get a different material?

I've printed many a bag carrier and pla is fine for strength as long as the model is good. The only thing to worry about is summer heat if you keep it in your car you might want to go with ABS or PETG. BTW this is one of the good models 🙂

Nice design, made it elegoo red matte pla, and added fuzzy skin. It feels solid, tried to hold 18 kilos worth of clothes and filaments and it passes the test without any problem.

I printed it in PETG because I needed to leave it in the car in the heat. Truly incredibly robust. I loaded it with a carton of water and an overflowing shopping bag

This is very well designed. I’m sure it will easily hold the weight of several grocery bags. I made one for my sister and she loves it! Printed in PETG. Once I receive another boost token I’ll spend it here. Thank you!

sooooo I made some modifications to the base model and print settings (filled in the cart token slot which I don’t need, changed to gyroid infill at 33%, lowered all print speeds) and printed this in Bambu PLA-CF with the hope that it would maybe add some strength, plus obviously look cool. I used a 0.6 mm hardened steel nozzle for the print and it took about 3 hrs and 100 grams. It came out looking stunning and is very functional and useful! Thanks for the starting point on this one!! 🤘🏼
