Description

Looked at dozens of holders for these electric toothbrushes (Braun/Oral B), and drew inspiration from all, but couldn't find any that solved all my issues. No matter how much I rinsed the brush after each use I always got white stains on my sink counter. Not sure if it was somehow residual toothpaste or if it was just minerals from the water (our water is super-hard). So I made a model which holds either/both the toothbrush and the motor over a disposable cotton pad (sold for makeup removal). I added a home for the charger, so it can sit on that when necessary, but also 2 other places for the motor, one right-side-up and one tip-down, so it can also dry as cleanly as possible. I was worried the latter would be top heavy, but I've been using it for months & it's been great, so I go tip-down 99% of the time I'm not charging. If you have a bunch of these toothbrushes all 3 positions can be used at once on the un-rotated model.

Since I have it in a weird corner near my sink I also made one with the non-charger section rotated 90 degrees, which makes it easier to use in my layout, without either blocking the other, except in this configuration you can't have a motor tip-down while there's also one on the charger. My sink counters have never been so clean! Finally rid of those weird little white circles. The pads last me a couple of months each before there's any sign of soiling, so the 100 pack I got from Amazon for <$3 (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09542G9ZN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1) is about a 16 year supply.

It's honestly a little weird how much I like this thing – hope someone else finds it useful!

I used Bambu PLA, with supports that were a little annoying to remove from the space where the pad lives. If you don't want to be able to lift the unit up & have the pad come with it it might be worth removing the little shelf it sits on in Bambu Studio, which would make cleaning up the supports easier. Happy to make that version if anyone wants it, but I like this configuration.
