Description

simple long calipers, I was tired of losing my calipers as I put them down or the ones I bought faded away so I make one that has grooves and measures 200mm and 8 in.

hello, thank you for the correction, so sorry for the waist of filament used. I have fixed the model and made it longer

no problem, no waste really. its not hard to google the conversion of cm to inches. it can still be used exactly as intended! but i'll definitely make another one soon.

Easy to print and works great But all the precision markings are useless because they line up perfectly with the ruler, so you can't use this for decimals(I would recommend removing them and Justice switching to a single arrow on each side instead to be more practical and not fool anybody) but otherwise it works great and they're going to be great backups.

This looks super cool, but I think (based on the photos) the Vernier scales on the outside are the wrong sizes, I think they should be a unit smaller than the inside ones. I might be wrong though.

a lot of the 100mm ruler outside scales are off by 0.05mm but I don't like that large of an error cause it's like measuring 1 3/4 inch and u get 1 7/8 inch and if ur looking to fit things together they gotta match right. error on this is closer to 0.01mm to 0.001mm which is more accurate for a none digital caliper.

indeed the markings seem to be perfectly aligned, which makes them useless. They should have the proper spacing to get the 1/10.

So what is the final verdict, are these accurate or not? I really want to print a set of these.

hello sorry for name confusion I normally call them MM ruler and the pinchy claw one calipers. but u never know the first one u use might be lazy that day so its handy to have another to pick up the slack!

I printed this, but the depth gauge is too short in the model. Depth is incorrect by 7.5 mm (5/16 in.).
