Description

👶This is a beta release of my Baby 13 design! 👶

I still have work to do to optimize it, but I wanted to get the model out there for people to try. I'd love to hear your feedback! I designed it with a similar style as soozafone's excellent Dummy 13, but simplified and miniaturized. It's sized to accurately represent a 9-12 month old baby at the same scale as Dummy 13.

Printing the whole thing out of PETG gave me the best results, but you could split it up and print the head and body pieces with PLA. I highly recommend Bambu PETG HF in cream or peanut brown for skin tones.

Update: I've gotten it all to print well in PLA too, opening up lots more possibilities 👶🏻👶🏼👶🏿 Adding a 3mm brim helped with adhesion to keep the smallest pieces from shifting, and was easier to remove than kit card style connectors. The joints all function well, but they may be less durable.

I don't have an assembly guide yet (but it's in the works!) I arranged all the parts in the print file in the way they will be assembled, so hopefully between that and the picture you can figure it out. Everything snaps together pretty easily, except the knees and elbows. Those will pop right in with a gentle squeeze with some pliers if you can't get it by hand.

Try adding a 3mm brim on every part. One of my filaments did this and that fixed it.
