Modern Monstera Shoe Rack - The perfect blend of functionality and elegance
Elevate your space and your organization with this modern plant-inspired shoe rack. With its customizable height, you can easily add more sections to accommodate your space needs. It also features a convenient bowl at the top for your keys and wallet, making it an essential spot to keep all your daily necessities in one place.  Each leaf features dual flanged edges to cradle the heel of your shoes while the cross braces enhance stability and strength. Each piece is a single color - no AMS needed!

Printing Instructions:
Plate 1-Pot: This is the longest print and will require the most filament. The remaining print will operate without this if you prefer not to wait. We used 15% Gyroid infill to add weight but this could be adjusted. The pot was printed in white marble PLA.

Plate 2-Dirt: This print can be used independently if you choose not to print the pot. Either side of this print can be “up” allowing you to use a textured or holographic plate if desired. We used 15% Gyroid infill and it was printed using Bambu Matte Dark Brown PLA.

Plate 3-Leaf: The leaves in the photo were printed using Bambu Matte Dark Green PLA with 15% Gyroid infill. Print as many as needed.

Plate 4-Stems and Cross Braces x2: This plate is intended for those planning to print multiple leaves. It includes two stems for leaf attachment and two sets of cross braces. These were printed using Bambu Dark Green Matte PLA with 25% Gyroid infill and 0.20 strength profile.

Plate 5-Stems and Cross Braces x1: This plate is meant for when you only want to print a single stem and one set of cross braces. It includes one stem for attaching the leaf and one set of cross braces. These were printed using Bambu Dark Green Matte PLA with 25% Gyroid infill and 0.20 strength profile.

Plate 6-Stem Spacer: This spacer is designed to provide extra height between sections, accommodating boots, high heels, or simply offering more space. It matches the height of the stems to which the leaves are attached. This was printed using Bambu Matte Dark Green PLA with 25% Gyroid infill.

Plate 7-Stem Spacer Half-Size: This spacer is half the height of the stems, perfect for when you need just a little bit more space. This was printed using Bambu Matte Dark Green PLA with 25% Gyroid infill.

Plate 8-Leaf Bowl: This piece is intended to be placed at the top of the shoe rack and should be printed upright. It can also be printed upside down to reduce the amount of support material used, but this will result in a less smooth finish on the inside of the bowl. This was printed using Bambu Matte Dark Green PLA with 15% Gyroid infill.

We chose strength profile for the stems (6 Walls).

Supports: Tree (auto)

Assembly Instructions:
Overall, the assembly should be straight forward. The pieces are designed to have a tight fit. You may need to use a mallet or a tabletop to help insert the cross braces into the stems.
The simplest way to assemble the shoe rack is to begin by placing the cross braces into the stems before attaching the stems to the "dirt" or other sections of the plant.
When assembling the stems and cross braces, begin by inserting the longer cross brace with the notch facing the center hole.

Then, insert the smaller cross brace through the hole of the stem into the notch of the longer cross brace.

Once the supports are removed from the leaf, you can insert the stem and fit the cross braces into the notches on the leaf.

Customization:
You can add as many leaf sections as you like. Additionally, you can customize the spacing between the sections using both full-size and half-size stem spacers.

This looks very neat! Can you make the pot inside go deeper so I could put filament waste in it? That would make the pot more heavy (more secure) so it could be more stable when placing heavy sneakers on the leaves.

Thank you! The pot itself ends up being 1.8kg (4lb). If you want a cavity, you could add a negative modifier to the middle of the pot in your slicer to your desired depth. Keep in mind that the 'Dirt' has a hole, so an additional modifier would be needed to plug the hole so the stem doesn't fall through

haha yeah its massive. Our largest print so far. We did 15% gyroid and 2 walls but that could definitely be adjusted so it doesn't take as long or if you didnt want to print the pot it still works with just the "dirt"

Cool design. I like that you can add as many leaves and make the sections has high as you want for differnt kinds of shoes. Undecided if Im going to print the pot but it does look good with it.

Thanks so much! Totally understand not wanting to print the pot that's why we made it also work with the "dirt".

Strength Issue:I've enjoyed printing these plates but I've had issues with the stems breaking during assembly. I'm a bit surprised you hadn't run into issues with strength since I had two break on me; one at the openings for the short and long arms and another at the end with the male fitting. I really like the pot! I used white from another filament manufacturer for the upper 50% and the slight difference in white makes for a cool two-tone effect.

Thanks for the feedback! That is strange. We haven't had issues with it yet. We did use the strength profile which has 6 walls for the stems and we were super careful when assembling because it's a tight fit. Also thanks for taking the time to print the pot! the two tone sounds very neat!

In Bambu Studio, add the six walls, as only two are included by default, hence the breakage
