Description

This is a paint booth for airbrush. it use 2 high 120mm high static pressure pc fan. the filter are just generic airbrush booth filter cut to size.

I used Noctua NF-F12 iPPC 3000 PWM fan that I solder to a generic 12v power supply.

For assembly I used a mix of superglue and friction welding. The boot can be assemble without if but it become to fragile when you pick it up.

For assembly instruction please see the include image the part number are indicated on them.

the fan assembly is held with 40mm M4 screws and nuts

The main part of the project are in the project folder.

The misc. folder is different revision of the part if you find that some angle corner piece do not fit right some of those misc. file might work for you.

BE ADVISE WHEN I MADE THE PROJECT I DID NOT USE A GOOD NAMING SCHEME AND PART OF THE NAME WHERE IN FRENCH I DID MY BEST TO RENAME THE FILE SO THEY MAKE SOME SENSE BUT SOME SLIGTH MISTAKE MIGTH BE PRESENT. This is especially thru of the corner piece as they look a lot alike. I have uploaded this project following comment on reddit even if at first I had no intention of doing so.

Nice, do you have a video of you using it while the fans are on? I purchased an airbrush to paint models easier and I am interested in something like this so I don't have to do it outside where the weather isn't always favorable.

Do the fans have enough pull to keep the air clean? I'm looking at High-Performance Dual 120mm Fans with Adjustable Speed Control, DC 12V Powered with AC 110V-240V Adapter, for Cabinet, Chassis, Server, and Workstation Cooling. I have never airbrushed yet so I don't know how much of it gets in the air and how to make sure fans with filters set up pull it out as I plan to do it inside if I set one up.

For the fan you need to get fan with high static pressure for it to work well. Keep in mind that i only use acrylic paint and still use a mask to be safe. If you use other type of paint that need to be vented outside I dont think PC fan would do the job. You would probably need to design an adaptor to connect an inline fan or something like that.

Will this print on the a1 mini

I doubt it. It was designed to print on a Neptune 4. The biggest piece is the plate numbers P3. In doubt I suggest you download the part and see for yourself in the slicer.

I tried to, the biggest plates /do/ just baaarely fit inside the build plate for the a1 mini. BUT the edges can get wonky and not print well. Thank you for this and I'll see if I can post any results after. question, how did you print the connectors? did you not use any support?

Nearly all piece print without support. I have use painted support ont the X shape connector like in this picture. I used brim for nearly everything. At the time I had a Neptune 4 and the adhesion was not as good as my bambu printer so it might not be necessary but I think I would at least use mouse ear. I used raft for the straight connector as removing the brim was annoying. Hope this help.

Im sorry I don’t think there is a way to make this printable on a smaller printer without redoing the whole model. It not something im willing to do. I guess You can try to cut piece in the slicers to make it fit the print volume of your printer.

interestingly all the pieces fit on a a1mini print bed... barely. I haven't tried printing this out but will give it a go and see if that is true. Most notably the back p8 and p3 taking up basically the entire plate.

This is more or less a copy of the cardboard box I used before designing the 3d model. At that time I use an old PC power supply to power the fan
