Tongue-in-cheek fun for all the family!

It's generally an easy print. Derpie needs supports, but the rest is support-less. You can print the box with or without the writing on the inside, and if you wish, print Derpie multi-colour 4 colour AMS or single colour and paint - or just plain old bland single colour. Whatever floats your boat. Plates are included for each.

Note: Derpy will require 169, (oh yeah), filament changes.

Warning: Be super careful removing the supports around the feet. They snap pretty easily. If you do snap them, use a dab of super-glue and a modicum of mouth-based blowing as it cures (to reduce cyanoacrylate bloom) and you'll be sorted right out.

Enjoy.

it turned out nicely. It should be the perfect little silly gift for my wife who loves her chickens.

I didn’t have time to print the Rooster in full color before Valentine’s Day, but I will be reprinting the cock in full color!

I used my uv filament and painted the case in the slicer. The cock case came out fine though. the cocks though. I have one headless cock that failed part way through and also had a leg snap off. I had another that I decided to paint and while painting the same left leg snapped off…I super glued it back on n’ finished painting. the legs are week so I went back into slicer and made the legs thicker and printed it one more time, non painted. It needs the legs beefed up in my opinion. love the file

Hard to remove support without breaking one of the rooster’s legs. Case is a bit hard to open.

I've been considering adjusting the leg support. Some options in the interim are pva/similar support material if you have an ams. Or changing the support type or set blockers to reduce around the legs. For the case. That was largely intentional. So you can choose the friction without having to reprint for your printer tolerance. Just run a file or sand paper over the lump clip to reduce it down until you are happy with how it seals. I may still adjust this a little. But with such a simple locking mechanism, under extruding this would be pretty catastrophic and it would never lock shut. I may make one without the lock at all too for those who don't care about it locking shut. Hope you enjoyed it anyway and manage to sort any problems.

I very much enjoyed it and don’t mind that the case was a little hard to open. It took an effort for my girlfriend to open it, and when she did she burst out laughing immediately! The suspense was worth it!

Friends, countrymen, countrywomen and countryeveryone in-between, no longer is step one to cut a hole in the box, NOR is step two to put your junk in that box. Thanks to Zeonia, Step one is to print a heart shaped box. Step two, is to put your cock(eral) in that box. Bravo. You have my vote, if not purely for the comedic value of this print, then.... no, no.... that's the reason. It's hilarious.
