Description

Nice decor to hold a photo. Get a photo of your spouse, or you two together, or maybe that adorable furr ball you have in your house. Should work like a charm as a Valentine's day gift.

Fits a 10 x 10 cm picture inside. Easy assembly.

This photo frame concept was inspired by a model made by Denixoid, you can check out his design out here.

General info

  • 2 print plates: One for the Main frame, one for the rest of the pieces.
  • All parts prints in place.
  • For the best result on the top surfaces, please use a calibrated flow rate for your filament.

Pieces

  1. Main frame with heart and text
  2. Back wall (largest rectangular piece)
  3. Bottom piece for back wall (smaller rectangular piece)
  4. Support stand (rectangular C-type piece with hooks)

Assembly

Bottom piece

  • Push the piece in its matching slot in the back of the Main frame, with the small extrusion facing out.
  •  The piece has a nift fit. Push it all the way it can go.

Back wall

  • The piece has a notch on one side, point it towards the bottom.
  • Slide the extrusions of one side (f.e. the left side) in the matching slots of the Main frame.
  • Bend the whole Back wall just enough to slide in the extrusions on the other side to their matching slots.
  • After both sides are attached, wiggle the back wall from side to side and up and down so it will find its final position.
  • The notch at the bottom should match the small extrusion of the Bottom piece nicely.

Support stand

  • Squeeze the ends of the piece to fit it in the matching hole in the lower part of the Main piece.
  • The piece has a loose fit to the hole. It will find its final position when you let the Main frame lean on it.

Had to split the file and reprint the stand as it decided to crap out the first time. Otherwise, great print with just basic PLA White. Thanks!

I too had some first layer adhesion issues at first, but got it working with the now current position and rotation. If there's oils (like fingerprints) in the bed, it could cause smaller objects with sharp corners to not attach and get ripped. If you have that happen maybe in future projects, you can try giving the plate a good soapy wash :) I think we will update the print profile with separated parts just in case. Thanks for the comment! And glad you liked it :)
