Description

Redesigned Tube Squeezer

Overview

The new designed tube squeezer has been developed to support a variety of tube types, including both plastic and metal tubes. Two distinct versions are available:

  1. Compact Version
    • Suitable for most regular-sized plastic toothpaste tubes.
  2. Robust Version
    • Larger to accommodate bigger tubes and designed to handle metal tubes.
    • Includes additional support on the right knob to increase strength.
    • The axle is more challenging to insert due to the increased robustness.

Toothpaste Squeezer with Clip and Ratchet to Prevent Rolling Back

This tube squeezer features a clip to hold the tube securely and a ratchet mechanism to prevent the tube from rolling back during use.

Print Specifications:

  • Infill: 15%
  • Wall Loops: 4

Important printing considerations:

  •  A brim has been included to maintain stability during the print, however please ensure your build plate is clean and the      filament adheres properly to the build plat.
  • When placing models manually on the build plate, ensure the tube is oriented with the ratchet facing the bottom to            prevent fusing of the ratchet mechanism.

Use instruction::

  1. Install the Ratchet Knob:
    • Screw the ratchet knob onto the ratchet end. It should remain in place after the initial installation.
    • The ratchet mechanism is printed in place and may be slightly stiff during the first few uses.
  2. Insert the Tube into the Clip:
    • Place the toothpaste tube in the clip, ensuring it is properly aligned.
  3. Close the Clip:
    • Use the second knob to securely hold the clip closed.
  4. Screw in the Second Knob:
    • With the tube and clip in place, screw the second knob into the open end.
    • If alignment issues occur, loosen the ratchet knob to help center the axle.
    • For the robust version, you may need to turn both the ratchet knob and the top knob simultaneously to engage the axle.

Increased rating after learning about printed at angle for increased strength. Could have done Tree supports from bed only for ease of removal, as normal supports through the threads are really tough.

You must have printed the one for the metal tube. The reason its printed on an angle is to increase the strength. The one for the plastic tube prints with the cap face flat.

Other Issues:it won't hold the tube. it needs to snap together so the end caps can be attached.

I'm not sure I understand, there is no snaping involved, Basically the clip is held by the end cap .
