I love it, not sure I have a use for it but I had 2 Sunlu spools laying around. It printed fine, fit together well, after I figured out what the extra little pegs were for. I would love it if it had a base that snapped on. Mine doesn’t spin well on my counter without a non slip pad under it. It’s a handy design, great way to use those excess spools, now to decide what to store in it. I was able to print two of the bins on my A1-Mini on one plate in about 2.5 hours.

Does exactly what it says on the tin - modified to print an entire layers worth at once.

Sunlu has mini spools that are of the same design, just smaller dimensions. The depth from outer edge to inner cylinder is 40mm. The height of the drawer would need to fit into 29mm. I would suggest a height of 28 for easy movement.

Given the spool height, I don't believe a drawer is feasible. If you send me a scan of the spool face and precise measurements, I can model the file for your verification.

Simply perfect Everything assembles very well, this is free to rotate Good job 👍🏼 Practical for using up the ends of spools and for storage The recycling aspect is important to me😜

Excellent idea… I’ve adapted the model to include 2, 3, and 4 compartments… and added a base to allow for rotation… thank you 😉

this would be even cooler if there was a texture on the outside that made it look bumpy as if there was filament there. makes it almost like a secret drawer

Better yet, you can attach real leftover filament, making it a truly secret compartment ;)

Thanks a Lot for this Spool Compartment. I Like it a lot. I have made some Adaptions. I use this for all kinds of soldering Stuff, like USB-C Housings, LED´s, switches. 1. I made a "LED Strip holder Adapter" on Top" - to keep Your LED Strips Organized. 2. I made a "Bottom Mount" that the First Spool can rotate freely like all top ones. I uploaded this 2 adaptions on you Profile as additional Print Profil :) BR Patrick
