Ultimate Reed Set and Reed Box:

I have done a ton of work designing 15 new Reeds to work with my mallard calls! I even created a beautiful Reed Box to store them all in! Check it out here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/1236322-duck-call-reed-box-and-ultimate-reed-set#profileId-1255995

Looking for a Goose Call? Check out my Goose Call model here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/1130466-the-goose-grabber-goose-call-100-3d-printed#profileId-1130631

Check out the V-formation duck call! It features updated call geometry and an all new feel. I have attached a few more reeds to try out that change the sound of the call. I have also added a slimmed down wedge meant to be printed using PLA. It can be found here:
https://makerworld.com/en/models/1076826#profileId-1067807

PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION:

Version 2 of my fully 3d printed duck call that works even better then the first one! Main body can be printed at .2mm using PLA with 35% infill. I recommend printing the reed at .1mm because it is so thin. The wedge can either be printed with TPU, or using PLA if you shave a little bit off the top face in your slicer. Can also just throw an actual duck call reed and cork in there if you want to.

IMPORTANT:

I have attached two variants for the wedge to this upload. The thicker of the two is meant to be printed using TPU, as that is a flexible material which will give you the best sounding results. There is also a thinner, shaved down option which will allow you to print using a hard material like PLA. It should give you a near perfect fit, and resolve the issue where the tone board support is snapping off.

I've done quite a bit of tinkering with the reed design and think I have found the best sounding design for 3d printing.

There are many different styles of calls, and they can be modified to meet most needs/wants. I can model different top pieces by request! I will continue to improve this model and upload new models in the future!

I had been searching for a bird-like whistle to 3D print for quite some time, as I am an animal lover. The body is from version 2, but the reeds are from version 3. I am very pleased with the result, and the sound is quite realistic. Incidentally, I noticed you have only created calls for ducks and similar birds so far; could you perhaps create one for a magpie or a crow? Thank you

I made mine a double reed by shortening the top reed and thinning the block to add some rasp. It really improved the sound quality. Thank you for the model! Maybe make a goose call if at all possible?

printed extremely well. no stringing or adherence issues. my first thought was this thing probably won't work, and if it does it can't be anywhere near an accurate sound. Wow, was I wrong. While not nearly as good as my triple threat call, I think it would work in a pinch. Now I just wonder how much of a difference an actual reed would make. Either way, good job. I was pleasantly surprised.

Oh definitely! I have a few cheaper calls I've gotten over the years and honestly like this more than those. I have been doing some messing around with actual reeds and there is definitely an improvement so I would give it a try for sure. Thank you for all the kind words!!

Works great (v2). So, I made a few Duck Calls for my grandchildren. When they visit next, we will all be able to sound a call for the ducks. My children like to hide little ducks through our house when they visit, so I assume they will be happy when grandpa gives each child a caller and tells them to use them anytime at their home. Quack, quack, quack!! Thanks for the design. I will chuckle every time I/we call a duck.

i would have counted printing this as a success if it made noise. instead, this is easily the coolest thing ive ever printed and it actually sounds good! it blows just like the old RNT quackhead i used to keep in my truck and practice with at red lights, expect quieter, which is awesome cause ill annoy less people now. i can feed chuckle, quack, hail call, i have no doubt i can get ducks in a spread with this thing. if you told 16 year old me that i could print a good call at home in about an hour, his head would have exploded. only issue i had is the tone channel split when i pressed the reed and wedge in, but the mouth piece holds it together. its probably because i printed it in silk. it was one of the free spools i got when i bought my P1S. im going to print a couple more in different colors once im done putting this printer through the ringers.

Thank you so much for the kind words. I will be uploading another model here in a few hours with a few more reed styles and an updated trimmed down wedge meant for PLA to fix the tone board breaking issue.

Nice whistle. The sound is a little high so i scaled it up to 150%. That made a more realistic sound👍🏻
