Description

Fidget finger roller thingy. Uses 608 bearings, if you don't have those, I think 3d printed ones will work too but not so smoothly.

Instructions:

  1. Push the bearings inside the rollers from wider side
  2. Push the rods to one side plate with one ring for each
  3. Add rollers with bearings
  4. Add rings again
  5. Push the other side plate
  6. Start rolling!

The tolerances are quite small so you may need some force to assemble this, but at least with my printer and filament (Bambu PLA basic) this is just perfect so you don't necessarily need any glue to keep it together, but add glue(CA glue for example) if needed. Please let me know if something is too tight to assemble, I can make loser version if needed!

There is an optional press tool in the profile that you can use to install or remove the bearings. I also added optional rollers with even smaller tolerances (my favourite as it keeps the bearings very securely attached)

Have you thought about maybe making a version where one side has a smaller wheel? That may be a nice addition to play with, so far the small version is my favorite just because it's easier to move around in my hand to different fingers. Thanks again this is so much fun to play with!

Thank you for the idea! I will keep that in mind and maybe try that later. I am using these every day too :D

Any chance of getting a version with more of a groove in it for the small version? I've printed a lot of these and everyone i give them to like the smallest one the best. Not sure how much tolerance there is but if it could be inset a little bit more that might be a nice adjustment. Maybe even could try that with a version that also has a smaller wheel mentioned earlier. Thanks again!

I think there is not much to do without increasing the size / using smaller bearings unfortunately. I tried to make the middle radius smaller but got artefacts on the surface in my test print. I haven't forgotten about the different size rollers but haven't had a time for it yet. I will contact you when I have tested it :)

I like it! However, it doesn't sit very comfortably in smaller hands. Is there a smaller version?

Thank you for reaching out, that is a valid point. I just added a print profile for smaller version. Please let me know if it suits you better!

Thank you! Does it take the same size bearings?

Yes, same bearings. The outer diameter of the rolls are reduced (the outer shape is a bit different too) and the frame is shortened. Otherwise it's basically the same.
