Closet Hinge Repair Board

This closet hinge repair board is a versatile and durable solution for fixing damaged or worn-out hinge mounting areas in wooden cabinets or closet doors. The repair board serves as a reinforcement plate, distributing the weight and stress of the hinge evenly, ensuring long-term stability.

You need to prepare 4 screw bolts.

Features:

  1. Easy Installation: Includes pre-drilled screw hole markers for quick and precise alignment.
  2. Customizable Design: Can be resized or adjusted in slicing software to fit various hinge dimensions.
  3. Print-Friendly: Optimized for FDM 3D printers with minimal supports needed; prints flat for convenience.

Printing Recommendations:

  • Material: PLA or PETG for moderate use; ABS
  • Layer Height: 0.2mm for smooth edges.
  • Infill: 40%+ for added strength.

This repair board is perfect for DIYers and homeowners looking for a cost-effective solution to extend the life of their closet doors without replacing the entire structure.

Didn't hold up, I don't see how this would withstand the weight when only the screws are holding it in

Hello, I have printed it, but I don't understand how to attach the hinge to the printed plate. I attach the plate to the furniture with the four screws, but the hinge remains in the position of the previous countersunk holes!?!? Thank you in advance if you can solve my small problem. Andrea

Sufficient, but the print quality around the holes wasn't ideal, the cause remains unclear

I couldn't use as I forgot that my hinge recesses into the door. But otherwise is a great design. Maybe you might do a mod for the hinges that have the hole recess?

Now that I have looked more carefully at your photo I realise that this print is for the other end of my door hinge. In your photo the other end of the hinge recesses into the cabinet with a hole. This is the problem part for me. It would be great to have a complete solution - prints for both ends of the hinge. Thanks so much for this genius idea 👍🏻
