Description

After posting my “Satisfying Fabric” model I had so many requests to make a connectable/modular version of it! Here it is! Introducing the “Modular Fidget Fabric!” This is a ton of fun to play with! There are a few supports that need to be removed, but it is easy to do so. When you are ready to connect 2 or more sheets together, lay them out on a table and ensure that they are situated so the prongs are pointing up and to the left, and the receivers are pointing down and to the right. Push the prongs into the receivers. There you have it! You have a piece of 3D printed fabric! Also, make sure your build plate is very clean. Any imperfections on the build plate will result in failure of this model. Please, enjoy this. Also, go out and make somebody else happy today. Lifting somebody else up will bring you up too! Have a fantastic rest of your day!

Great to print on a clean smooth plate with glue (for easy release). Printed in PETG-HF on my A1 many times! Also made an edge & printed in BBL Gold Sparkle PLA to finish off the design I created from these panels. Thanks!

Do it! Send a picture when you are done! I would recommend adding a dab of super glue on the connections because the weight of a blanket might be strong enough to pull them apart.

I tried printing this, but it failed is started to tear it off the bed. Is there a way I can fix it?

What bed type are you using? What filament?

The bed type is PEI and I'm using PLA filament.

Wait for it to cool completely. You should then flew the bed in both ways, and then slowly pull it off from one corner

Prints great! Multiple pieces snap together with ease, and they hold together very well.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong here. Attempted this 3 times and strangely still no successful print. Bed was as clean as It could get. What size hot end was used? I currently have the 0.4 nozzle and had suspicions that a 0.2 might be better.

I just made sure my build plate was very clean. Roughing up the textured PEI plate with sand paper can help if that is what you are using. You can raise your bed temperature a little too. .4mm nozzle works great

I got a successful print shortly after I posted my comment. I tried my clear PLA filament and it worked, then another successful print with my blue transparent PLA. You're correct that it comes down to how clean the bed is. What I did was I applied a thin layer of purple glue stick down making sure not to put too much and making sure to cover the entire bed itself since my other 2 failed attempts resulted in the fabric peeling off the bed in the corners, 5 hours later successful print. Answered my own suspicions that it's not my nozzle, lol.
