Description

I present to you: "stoppy"

the build-plate guide. my build-plate guide.

The idea is not new and has already been uploaded

BUT i could not find one that met all my requirements, being the following:

Sufficient height to stop the plates from jumping over it & perfect fitment for ease of use.

I do have to give credits to The shifty by JDJDJD & Build Plate Alignment Guides by Wiseone

as their designs brought me here.

------------------------------

The installation

- Remove all supports to guarantee perfect fitment.

- Push the front corner (I) into place first

- Then Snap the rear (II) into place.

The overall clearance is tight! but around 0.10mm at the final stop to maintain usability and easy removal

(in case necessary)

Blindfolded alignment every single time!

------------------------------

Striving for perfection with each and every design

Feedback is always very welcome!

Thx for stopping by! 😎

PD: As @milannekuhh had some trouble fitting its BentoBox, which according to Google is a Japanese lunchbox - but then turned out to be something totally different XD , I have just added a “slim version” so that this or any other Add-On for the P1P/S / X1C that sits inside the printer still has enough clearance.

Thank you for making an Bentobox compatible version. With barely 2mm of clearance, it works! I appreciate your effort. For people printing this: keep in mind that due to the slimness, the strength is lower, so be carefull when installing. I kept the left stock and put a slim one on the right for strength.

You’re welcome. I’m so glad it works! Thank you for measuring the clearance and posting pictures. PD: Sorry for the initial misunderstanding but neither me nor google knew what a Bentobox was.

I understand. Bentbox is well known on Printables, but not on Google sadly. Here is a boost for your efforts🤙🤙

I've tried a bunch of these but by far this one is the best for the P1S as most have been adapted from the X1C and either don't fit as well or lack in height. This is perfect on both counts. I've printed mine in matte yellow PETG but like them enough to want to reprint in ABS down the line. Highly recommended if you run a P series!

Thank you! My brother was always IThinkImLost growing up through the gaming days, so I had thought we could make a “Lost” clan. Then life happened, we had kids, and never game together 😂

Also, I want to mention… I combined this with a build plate aligner and that also helped a bunch. The combination of the two make putting the build plate in extremely easy!

Works really well but almost broke my bed with using a Bentobox! So maybe put a clearer advert that this is not compatible with Bentobox please!! I have it on one side now, already helps a lot!!

Hey @milannekuhh , it seems like you accidentally commented on the wrong model. My model is not able to brake a bed in any way. A Bento-Box (I had to google) is a Japanese-style food box - so what does that have to do with my design..? Please review your comment, explain further or attach an image.

Hello, I'm pretty sure Bentobox V2.0 is an air filtering system (https://makerworld.com/models/12786). I even have a remix my profile. My 20 year old eyes are still pretty good. I clearly saw a bend in the bed, but it is not damaged luckily.

I appreciate your answer, but a picture of the problem would have been more helpful so we can all understand. The provided link does not work unfortunately and being ironic about your eyes does not help me nor anyone else. People who download “stoppy” or any other additional part have to make their own homework to know if or not the part may interfere with anything else they have installed on/in their devices. I hope you understand. with best regards

Out of all similar models I have tried, this one is by far the best. Printed flawlessly with ABS+ HS, snapped in easily and securely and works like a charm. Very nice design, thank you !
