For goodness sake I used white and red PLA

That's alright, mobile phones lack the slicing capability to see colors in subsequent layers

If you are asking why to print in a single color, I cannot answer that. But if you are asking how to print in a single color (there might be a translation error), then open the AMS profile, delete the colors, and leave only one. You can change this single color to your preferred choice.

In the image it appears red, black and white. In the print section, only white color is printed even though AMS is turned on.
