Description

3D dragon model created from an image generated using Meta AI and Backflip AI.

Successfully printed on a Bambu A1 and an Ender-3 V3 KE.

Print using:

.2mm layer height

3 walls

5 top shell layers

4 bottom shell layers

15% Gyroid Infill (for best strength)

Support:

Tree Auto/Tree Organic

On Build Plate Only

1 Raft Layer

Generic PLA Filament (3DHoJer PLA PRO white using standard 220C/65C temps and Overture PLA grey  blue were tried)

If you encounter stringing or adhesion issues change the temps to the recommended values for your filament.

Carefully remove supports starting at the top edge of wings and head with wire snips or needle nose pliers.

Breaking the tree structure in parts may work better before detaching from model. Be especially careful with

the ones on the bottom and around the back feet.

I love the design but I wasn't able to remove the supports without the back legs breaking off. Still very nice though.

I worked on the original profile and made sure that I had at least three walls five top layers four bottom layers and 15% gyroid infill and tried several different iterations of supports until I found one that seem to work well.

Thanks.it's possible you might have to play with the nozzle temperature and the bed temperature in the filament settings. maybe lower the nozzle to two town or 215 and the bed to 55 or 60 instead of 65. I've also found that sometimes silk filaments end up being brittle and stringing.

I did have an issue with supports breaking off a leg, but I scaled it slightly bigger and was very careful when removing supports. It really is a beautiful print!!
