Description

Boost Me (for free)

Please leave a boost if you want to encourage me to create more things for the GOEWS wall system.

This is based on the customisable latching broom holder from Printables here: https://www.printables.com/model/110550-customisable-latching-broom-holder. See the original for full details.

It has a click-in, click-out latch system for holding things like brooms, rakes etc.

You can customise the size of handle to be held.

Updated 2025-01-26: Now you can have printed hinge pins included (the new default). You might have to tweak the hinge pin horizontal clearance value for your particular printer - 0.3mm works really well on my X1C with Elegoo Rapid PLA+.

I use 4 walls, 25% gyroid infill to print. Ignore the warnings from the slicer about floating regions - it's the hinges being printed in mid-air but they print fine.

The hinges (three in total) require some kind of pin each to hold them together.

If you don't use the printed pins option you need to customise the size of the hinge pin holes to suit what you use - you could use small nails, screws, bolts, sections of paper clip, brass or steel rod or you could even use filament for very light duty use or just to try it out.

If you want to use a GOEWS bolt to hold it to the wall tile (recommended) then it might be easier to install it before you assemble the middle hinge. Or you can use my right angle hex bolt tool.

Note - this is very much an alpha version. I haven't tested it for strength, weight bearing capacity etc. But it should be as strong as the original model on Printables.
