Description

3D Printable Click Pen - Precision, Durability, and Customization

Introducing the ultimate 3D printable click pen, designed with both functionality and precision in mind! Modeled after the popular Pilot G2, this pen offers a familiar, smooth writing experience with a modern, customizable twist. It’s compatible with the same spring and ink cartridge as the Pilot G2, allowing for easy refills whenever you need them.

The design features tight tolerances, which may feel a bit snug at first, but don’t worry—the parts will loosen and smooth out over time with regular use, resulting in a satisfying, reliable clicking action. A custom spacer is integrated around the ink cartridge, preventing any wobbling or rattling inside the pen housing, ensuring a stable and smooth writing experience.

One tip to keep in mind: depending on your 3D printer’s settings, you might notice some small burrs or rough edges inside the pen tip. I recommend gently deburring the inner surface of the tip with a small file or knife to ensure the ink cartridge slides in smoothly and doesn’t catch or scrape. This small step can significantly improve the overall performance and feel of the pen.

Whether you’re a hobbyist eager to print your own pen or someone who loves the idea of a fully customizable writing instrument, this 3D printable click pen offers the perfect blend of performance, durability, and personalization. Get ready to enjoy a click pen that’s as unique as you are!

Try reducing extrusion multiplier (flow ratio) 3 to 5%. Excessive pressure from the nozzle can cause issues with delicate prints like this. (Also filament has the be properly dry. Bubbles and spurts will lead to things getting knocked over when th nozzle comes around and hits the "zits".) Good luck! (Haven't printed this particular model myself.)

I had to print at 50% speed on my A1 because it failed twice. Too quick of movement.

The parts go in this order in the pen. The small part that looks like a thick washer fits around the ink cartridge. The clip that attaches to the outer housing is a friction fit so be careful when sliding it on because it may be a little tight.

Love this pen, printed in Elegoo PLA+ with zero issues. Just a little clean up where the brim was and had to file the edges of the small piece that goes under the clicker. Now operates perfectly. Will definitely be part of my EDC. Going to print some more. Boosted !

Looks good and printed great but the pen gets stuck when you try and click it. You have to flick it to get it to unstick.

Thank you for this feedback. With my prototypes I have found that after a bit of use the parts wear down slightly and become more reliable.

5 Stars for the model and print quality, only issue, my pen inserts (europe) are to short for this pen. (But i can easyly design/print some extenders. I had no adhesion problems, but if u design a little camfer on the grip part, u can print it upside down, so it's standing more stable, especially for the A1/A1 mini printers.

Updated - I was able to cut off the spaghetti part of the screw thread and there was enough left to use. So I've upped my rating to 4 stars as it's a nice design, just tricky to print. The pen body clearly came loose and wobbled. And this is on a cryogrip plate that sticks like anything. I'll try again with just that part.

Very cool model except the Nozzle tip was very hard to print and kept falling over and The pocket clip is practically useless because it breaks very easily. If you could make a version that instead of a clip it has a hexagon piece that matches the rest of the pen that you could print in a different color to go onto the end that would be a lot more useful I feel like. Other than that, very cool model and gets a lot of Comments while using it
