A simple yet addictive and functional fidget pen for Valentines, just add a BIC pen insert. Regular and knitted versions available.
Please make sure your build plate is clean and free of grease and oil before printing. Although it’s not happened to me, there are reports of it failing near the end of the print. If this happens to you, and your build plate is clean, check if your machine wobbles too much while printing. Good luck 🙂
Not all filaments are created equal, if the Bic insert doesn't go in easily, use a 5/32" or 4mm drill bit to enlarge the hole to be the perfect size for the inserts. Not all filaments require this step.
The print profile has the hearts and pens on separate plates.
It allows you to print the pen in another color, making it even more interesting!
The idea is that you print the hearts first and then pause the pens at layer 555 to insert the hearts and then resume printing.
This also allows for a brim that actually touching the pen and help it stay on the build plate.
Prints great with Galaxy PLA filament. I've been liking the galaxy and sparkle PLA filaments from Bambu lab, they print really well, and take quite a bit of force to snap. This Conjure PLA from Chitu Systems is also very interesting, and they have a lot of other interesting Silk options.
