This is metric version of my original Woodworking Setup Blocks - Imperial v2 design. I've created two sets of setup blocks (see sizes below) which allow you print the sizes that may match your use cases more. I've referred to these as the “standard set” and the “plywood set”.

NOTE: When printing, the 0.2mm layer height is great for printing the cases quickly, but I'd suggest using the 0.1mm layer height for the setup blocks to ensure you get the most accurate size.

This design features two sets of blocks focused on plywood thicknesses (9 sizes) and standard metric measurements (11 sizes). Three pre-configured plates are available to print. All 20 blocks, 9 plywood size blocks, or 11 standard metric size blocks.

Two cases are provided, one for the plywood size blocks, and another case for the generic metric size blocks. The case and latches all snap together, no other tools/materials are needed. As requested by some users, I've also created trays that will allow you to store the blocks without the need for a lid. This is a great option if you plan to store them in a drawer, for example.

If you'd like a different size block, I'm more than happy to make that for you, just leave a comment requesting the size!

Hope you enjoy this print!

I just printed this set and am amazed by the quality! honestly, I really love the box design, specifically the latches. is there a way you can release just the box as a parametric design (with a smooth inside)? that way, we can use the box for anything. my current solution is the parametric rugged box that uses M3 bolts for hinges. it's reinforced and everything. but many of the applications I want to use it for don't need that amount of ruggedness. I think this box with its printed hinges and latches would be perfect for less rugged applications!

@kickwriteteach - This is where the box came from: https://makerworld.com/en/models/377006 I did modify the latch by feathering the edges since they can be a little sharp when opening the case.

Replying to @bdizzle :
how different are the new latches? could you publish them as a separate model?

Would it be possible to make 16mm and 17mm. Common sizes of sheet goods where I live in Australia

Sure thing! If I was to make another case, what are all the sizes you’d want?
