Description:
As you can see, this is a very common-looking desk lamp. Its design was inspired by the desk lamps I used as a child while studying, and it also draws some inspiration from the desk lamp logo of Pixar Animation Studios.
When I brought home my A1 mini and saw the included LED kit 001, my first thought was to turn it into a desk lamp.
After more than half a month of learning—getting to know the printer and using modeling software—I finally completed it. During the design process, there were quite a few compromises due to the dimensional limitations of the LED kit 001. Nonetheless, it is now perfectly finished and displayed in front of you.
The lamp head can tilt up and down about 90 degrees and rotate approximately 30 degrees.
I've uploaded two configurations: one with a lampshade and one without.
I really wanted to embed the switch into the base, but I haven’t come up with a good solution yet. If you have any great suggestions, feel free to leave a comment.
Below are the assembly steps:
This step is a bit tricky.
You need to first insert the connecting gear into the lamp arm, then snap the gear into the slot on the lamp head.
Be sure to pay attention to the position of the wire channel.
Pay attention to the position of the protrusion on the lampshade and the slot on the lamp head.
Gently press them together until you hear a "click," indicating they are securely attached.
The white lampshade can be inserted at any time.
If the switch doesn't fit in, try adjusting the angle and attempt again. In fact, this step is quite simple.
Secure the wire into the groove of the lamp arm, then push the black connector closer to a fixed position near the lamp head.
I apologize because the tightening direction of the screws in my design is opposite to the common thread direction. However, the screws and nuts fit together quite well for now.
Here are some displays:
The movement of the lamp head works perfectly for me. However, if the lamp head doesn't snap tightly on your end due to printing tolerances, you can try wrapping a thin rubber band around the connection between the gear and the lamp arm to increase resistance.

It gives me a greater sense of accomplishment, and I’m aiming to save up points to redeem the "Maker's Essential Kit A."
