I have tried to print a couple of pairs of these twice. it only prints 1 piece (bottom with candy) and then switches colors. we love the design, bit want to limit waste. is this an easy fix?

I'm not sure I fully understand your question. But the print profile is made to print the pieces separately. It will fully print one piece (bottom piece), then print the other (top piece). This is to reduce waste as much as possible.
