Description

NOTE: THIS MODEL CAN HURT. PLEASE EXERCISE CAUTION WHEN FIRING, AND DO NOT FIRE AT THE EYES OF OTHERS. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY INJURY. ENJOY!

*PLEASE READ ME*

Hey everyone! Here's my new wrist mounted crossbow. I designed it to use as few materials as possible, meaning you only need:

-1x rubber band (I use size 16 from office depot)

-Velcro/Elastic

And that's all!

From what I've found, this model shoots further and straighter than any of my wrist launchers before- and I intend to continue upgrading and working on it (adding a one handed trigger at some point, too). In the meantime, enjoy!

Boosts are greatly appreciated and help me pay for my projects!

Firing:

To fire, simply apply upward pressure to the rubber band. This will cause the band to skip the nook and catch on the arrow/bolt.

(If the band skips over the arrow/seperates, it needs twisting more.)

Assembly:

Assembly is very straight forward- to begin, take your rubber band and bow. You'll notice holes in the bow- thread them through the holes and loop it around the end, fastening it to one side. Then, begin twisting the rubber band to form a singular strand. Once complete, loop it around the other side. It should look like the picture below.

Now with your bow, super glue it FLAT SIDE DOWN onto the main body. Now, taking the thin ~ shaped piece, dab glue onto the side that fits into the main body. Once this is attached, the crossbow is complete! Simply sew/glue your sized velcro/elastic and enjoy.

the ultimate conundrum: Will the cat use the crossbow to defend his territory, or will he knock it off the table???

That looks awesome! Hopefully later today I'll be able to upload V2 with the trigger, although it depends how the tolerances treat me.

yeah the difficulty is packing it into something so small while making it possible to fire with one hand while simultaneously juggling work and school, at the latest it’ll be Friday 🤣

what is that green piece at the bottom? also, those are all the pieces- this version of the model doesn’t have a trigger system outside of pushing the elastic band up with your hand. check out the V2 for this feature!
