Description

This is a spell card case and spell slot tracker I made for a ranger character. The magnets on the front represent the spell slots and can be moved easily from one side to the other. The compartment holds classic poker cards. I use the following two sites to create my spell cards:

https://rpg-cards.vercel.app/

https://5e.tools/makecards.html

For assembly, slot the magnets into the back of the cover as seen in the last picture above. The alternating poles are not strictly necessary, but you won't accidentally slide the marker magnet into a wrong lane this way. If the fit of the magnets is a bit too loose you can add a drop of superglue. For a level 20 ranger character, you will need 25x Magnets (d=5mm, h=2mm) as they can never have more than 3 level 2 slots for example.

When the magnets are in place, you can attach the corner pieces with some small spots of superglue. The “lock” simply clips on from the side.

I will be making more designs for different classes in the future and posting them as links down here:

All of these are really cool. Would you ever consider adapting them for Pathfinder amounts of spell slots?

Hey, I'm not too familiar with pathfinder rules. What kind of spellslots do you get there?

Replying to @simonbb :
Differences that I saw: Artificer gets up to 5 slots per level Sorcerer gets up to 6 slots per level Cleric gets up to 5 slots per level Bard only goes up to 6th level, 5 slots per level However, each spellcasting class can get bonus slots depending on how high their spellcasting ability is. For most characters it'd be no more than +1 at some levels, but at 20 and up the ability it starts getting into +2 for certain levels. A good resource for Pathfinder is d20pfsrd, which basically has ALL of the content ever published for pathfinder in a wiki style format. For each class there will be tables listing spell slots earned by class, plus a different table for spell slots earned by casting ability. Pathfinder also has a few classes that use stuff like Ki points or Panache (Swashbuckler) that could serve as potential ideas in the future. I personally adore pathfinder 1e. It's a lot more mechanically indepth than 5e, as far as I've seen.
