Description

This is my tiny vault with auto-locking mechanism. It makes clicking sounds while opening, and the button automatically locks the door after closing, without the need to turn the handle.

For the door hinge, you need to use a piece of filament (approximately 26 mm).

Even though I tried to design it to avoid using glue, the small size makes glue necessary for some parts.

I have attached the assembly guide, but if you have any questions, feel free to ask in the comments.

I am excited to see your vaults and the color combinations you come up with! =)

UPDATE:

If the clicking and locking mechanism isn't working properly, please try the following:

  1. The gears might not be rotating smoothly. Apply some oil to the gears to improve their movement.
  2. If the small part responsible for the clicking doesn't fit tightly, you might need to glue it in place

My apologies, the error is in file 15, not the .STL file

Hm, I didn't upload these STL files; I only uploaded the 3MF files, and Makerworld automatically generates STL files from 3MF. Please try downloading the 3MF file and converting it to STL.

Only 3 out of the 19 parts need to be glued.

Strength Issue:The filament passage is fragile, the circular part that fits into the door breaks easily, the locking mechanism functions erratically, not to mention the inaudible clicking, some points for improvement ;)

Sorry to hear that =( I'm not entirely sure which parts are fragile in your case. My 5-year-old son has used it without breaking anything. Could you please send a photo of broken parts? Regarding the clicking and locking mechanism, applying some oil to the gears might help in your situation. If the small part responsible for the clicking doesn't fit tightly, you might need to glue it in place.

Replying to @kivikto :
Breakage occurred during assembly for wire routing and during repeated disassembly to test the door opening mechanism
