I printed the 1st version and liked it so much I'm in the middle of printing this version.  I previously used clear petg for the shade part.  I've also got some metal pla on order for when I print the base.
Edit: printed both versions ,they are bright.  Fantastic!

Looks good, it's functional, and relatively inexpensive.  (once you get past the whole 3D printer costs)
