Modular Star System – Build any size star yourself!

With these 3D printed corner elements, you can build a Christmas star of any size, ideal for building facades, interiors, or decorative projects
The construction is modular. You only need wooden slats (or aluminum/PVC profiles) of the desired length and can easily screw them together with the corner pieces
Perfect for makers, Christmas fans, and anyone with a cordless drill in hand

→ Variable size – you decide the star's diameter
→ Stable and lightweight
→ Suitable for wood, aluminum, or plastic
→ Ideal for wrapping with LED string lights
→ Reusable (wooden slats replaceable)

All dimensions were designed so that standard wooden slats (30x20) fit perfectly, including filament shrinkage and assembly tolerances. If you can't put it together, you probably measured incorrectly when cutting the slats ;)

Required Material
(My slat length of 370 mm resulted in a star diameter of 125 cm)

Assembly Instructions

Cut Wooden Slats

  • Cut all ten slats to the same length
  • The length of the slats determines the size of your star

Assemble Corner Elements

  • Insert slats into the corner elements
  • Pre-drill (recommended)
  • Fix with wood screws
  • Each element gets 4 screws → very stable!

Complete the Frame

Screw all elements together until the star shape is closed
Now you have the stable basic structure

Decoration / Light Assembly

  • Place string lights spirally around the star or on top of it
  • Fix LED strip with cable ties / adhesive pads
  • Attach power supply → done!

I wish you as much fun assembling it as I had, and also a Merry Christmas
