printed with no issues using petg. did sanding, filler primer, bondo glazing putty. base layer of green paint. then went crazy and decided to gold leaf the thing. felt lining on the inside with air soft helmet padding for the perfect fit.

I had some issues with a layer shift about 30 hours in. Then the purge tower fell over and I had to cancel the print about 40 hours in. I just had to slice the helmet to print that last bit. Had to cut out the shift and weld it back in place. did the same for the last bit I had to print after the cancel. After some finishing work it came out great. overall I’m happy and was able to save the project. I would definitely blame the issues on me and my lack of maintenance on my machine.

had a couple fails, but worked through them and the results are fantastic! wings got knocked over a couple times at about the 80% complete mark. seems like the print head would hit the wing and knock it over. added a wider brim and ended up using masking tape to tape the front wing to the tree support to add extra strength and support. it worked!
